Posh nosh and posh cars were the order of the day during a special business seminar in Exeter.

The event was organised and hosted by Wollens, chartered accountants Thomas Westcott and Mercedes-Benz South West at the car dealer’s showrooms at Marsh Barton.

The evening focused on updates on business tax issues for 2020, themed around company car and company car tax advice. With delicious canapes served before the main event, more than 60 people enjoyed talks from three main speakers.

Mercedes-Benz Business Development Manager Lorraine Lane gave a breakdown all things electric in the car market.

Patrick Tigwell, a partner and tax specialist at Thomas Westcott, and Jon Dunkley, partner and employment and business specialist at Wollens, talked about the benefits – and implications  – of company cars for employers and employees.

There was also a sporty and guest appearance from well-known rugby captain Jack Yeandle who is also a Mercedes-Benz ambassador.
