We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Residential Property Team, to work in the firm’s brand-new South Devon Office based in the heart of Torquay.

You would be working as part of our Residential Property team. The role will involve opening client files at the outset of the transaction and dealing with the transaction from exchange of contract through to completion. The role would also involve providing administrative support to our Property Team as required, which could include opening and scanning post, preparation of communication to clients by either letter or email, processing legal documents and general administrative support.

You will demonstrate empathy and good problem-solving skills.

To this end the successful candidate would also be expected to actively engage in the marketing and practice development work of the private client team.  Membership of SfE in relation to the Elderly Client/Court of Protection lawyer role is advantageous, but not essential.

The new South Devon office 

The ideal applicant would have experience in a similar role or could be a Legal Secretary with Property support experience looking to progress. Although legal experience is not essential, we would welcome applicants with good skills who would be interested in a career in the legal sector. Applicants should have excellent I.T. skills, ideally working with digital dictation/audio typing and case management systems. You should also have, good communication skills and attention to detail.

The role is full-time. Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
