Hannah Van Niekerk
I joined Wollens in September 2019 to undertake my training contract to fully qualify as a Solicitor.
I graduated from University with a first class with honours in my Bachelors of Law (LLB) and a distinction for my Master of Law and Practice (MLP).
At University I won a prize for having the highest mark in the Employment Law elective in my Master of Law and Practice degree.
Upon graduating from university and prior to the start of my training contract, I gained client-facing experience working in the field of human rights. I worked in a legal clinic in South Africa that specialised in assisting refugees and asylum seekers.
My role as a trainee solicitor includes, drafting legal documents, attending court, and conducting client meetings. I have had exposure to both private and public law work.
In my spare time I enjoy keeping active by hiking, running and swimming. I have a passion for charity work and I have completed the British Red Cross’s Miles for Refugees Challenge twice.
