Hannah Van Niekerk

I graduated from University with a first class Bachelors of Law (LLB) degree and a distinction for my Masters of Law and Practice. I was awarded a prize for achieving the highest mark in the Employment Law elective in my Masters of Law and Practice.

After graduation and prior to joining Wollens in 2019 to undertake my training contract, I gained client-facing experience working in a legal clinic in South Africa that specialised in assisting refugees and asylum seekers.

During my training contract I completed seats in the public law children, private family law, private client and dispute resolution departments. I qualified as a solicitor in September 2021 and I was pleased to accept a role in the dispute resolution team.

I am hoping to specialise in the area of contentious probate, and subsequently I have enrolled on the ACTAPS course.

When I am not working, I enjoy being active in my spare time. I enjoy running, swimming, surfing and hiking. I have a passion for charity work and I partake in the British Red Cross’s Miles for Refugees challenge each year.
