Hannah Van Niekerk
I joined Wollens in September 2019 for my training contract to fully qualify as a Solicitor.
I graduated from university with a first class with honours in my Bachelors of Law (LLB) and a distinction for my Master of Law and Practice (MLP).
At University I won a prize for having the highest mark in the Employment Law elective in my Master of Law and Practice degree.
Upon graduating from university and prior to the start of my training contract, I gained client-facing experience working in the field of human rights. I worked in a legal clinic in South Africa that specialised in assisting refugees and asylum seekers.
My role as a trainee solicitor in the family team includes, drafting legal documents, attending court, and conducting client meetings. I have had exposure to both private and public law work.
In my spare time I love spending time exploring Devon with my beloved German Shepherd Dog. I also enjoy running, tennis and swimming. I have a passion for charity work, and I have just completed the British Red Cross Miles for Refugees Challenge.
