I first embarked on my legal career at a law firm in Dorset, training predominantly in family law. In 2015 I began studying my LLB at the University of Exeter and graduated with exemplary grades. I was even contacted by the university post-graduation to supply my written consent to them using my dissertation as an “example of excellence” for future LLB students.
I joined Wollens fast-paced New Build Conveyancing Team in 2018 and hit the ground running. With over 6 years’ hands on legal experience, and an incredible team around me, I had the opportunity to specialise in:-
- complex registration issues;
- shared-ownership transactions;
- Buildmark Insurance (including NHBC and LABC);
- HMRC Stamp Duty issues; and
- Help to Buy.
In 2019 I joined our residential conveyancing team assisting Penelope Chelmick whilst also running my own caseload. I now deal with a variety of matters including:
- listed properties;
- transfers of equity; and
I have also had the opportunity of spending time assisting in the firm’s family and private client departments. I am currently studying my Legal Practice Course and my Masters Degree around working full-time and will be embarking upon my Training Contract with the firm in May 2020.
At the moment most of my free time seems to be filled with studying, but when I find a spare few minutes you will typically find me at the beach or enjoying the scenery of North Devon.
