Katie started her legal career at a firm in Dorset, gaining experience in a number of areas but focusing predominantly on family law. In 2015 she attended the University of Exeter to study her LLB and graduated with impressive grades, even providing the university with permission to use her dissertation as an “example of excellence” for future students.
Katie joined our conveyancing team in 2018, moving between New Build Conveyancing matters and her own caseload of Residential files. She has worked on transactions of all shapes, sizes and values including:-
- Help to Buy;
- Listed Buildings; and
- Unregistered Land.
She began studying her Master’s Degree alongside her Legal Practice Course in 2019 around her full-time role at Wollens. Having completed all her core modules, Katie has chosen to focus her studies this year on Mergers & Acquisitions and Commercial Property. Katie has also chosen to write a Practical Research Report on both the long and short-term impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the acquisition of private limited companies in England and Wales.
After a slight Covid-19 related delay, Katie began her Training Contract with the firm in November 2020. She is now enjoying her time in the Company Commercial Team where she is eager to expand her knowledge and build on her academic foundations of commercial law.
When Katie isn’t in the office or studying, she can usually be found on the beach enjoying the scenery of North Devon.
