The responsiveness of Wollens in general and our key contact Dave, supported by Kieran, in particular was excellent from the start. Dave made time for a long initial f2f chat with us to explain the issues with new build purchases. This was very helpful in building the subsequent communication around some unexpected issues with the property. I have come to expect responses from solicitors in days, if lucky, whereas in this case i regularly received detailed replies to non-trivial questions within the hour – quite astonishing really. The team also pulled out the stops to complete within a day of getting the paperwork from the sellers which was important for us. All in all a first class bespoke service.

I studied law at Exeter University before completing my post graduate legal training at the University of the West of England. I then trained and qualified with a large national commercial practice based in Bristol and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. I returned to North Devon and joined Toller Beattie LLP in 2012 being made a partner in 2014.
Whilst I have significant experience of dealing with light commercial transactions my specialism is now residential conveyancing. The majority of my working day is spent advising purchasers of New Build Homes across a range of residential developments in the South West. I also act for developers in establishing the legal paperwork for residential estates and then disposing of individual plots.
Outside of the office I am a keen sports fan and participant (particularly football, racket sports and golf). I am a third generation Arsenal fan and current Chairman of Lynton & Lynmouth AFC. To the detriment of my waistline I also I very much enjoy socialising, cooking, eating and drinking decent ales (including those brewed at my sibling’s commercial brewery). In what seems like another life I have previously acted as a County Court Advocate (undertaking over 1200 County Court hearings) and held a lease of my own Fish & Chip shop (another family obsession).
Testimonials
The efficient service provided ensured the flat was sold within a very tight time frame made somewhat complicated by the extraneous requirements made by the buyers solicitor. The timely response by both conveyancing solicitor and his assistant were very much appreciated. Both offered considerable guidance in a somewhat stressful situation.
