Wollens celebrated a successful night at the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Awards 2026, taking home three awards recognising innovation, sustainability and rising talent.

Legal professionals from across Devon and Somerset gathered at the University of Exeter’s Great Hall for the annual DASLS Awards, which celebrate the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations across the region’s legal sector.

Wollens was delighted to be among the firms recognised on the night, securing a hat-trick of awards across key categories.

The firm’s Sports Law Division won the Justice Innovation Award in recognition of its work in creating a specialist service supporting clubs, athletes, governing bodies and sports businesses.

Marco Floreale, Head of Sports Law at Wollens, said the award was a reflection of the team’s ambition to provide something different within the legal sector.

“This award reflects the hard work of everyone who has helped the division grow – from colleagues across the firm to the clients and partners who have trusted us along the way. It is very much a team achievement.”

“We are absolutely delighted that Wollens Sports Law Division has won the Justice Innovation Award at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards.

“This recognition means a great deal because the division was created to do something genuinely different; to bring specialist, practical and commercially focused legal support to clubs, athletes, governing bodies and sports businesses across the South West and beyond.

The DASLS Awards recognise excellence across the legal profession, with categories celebrating individual achievement, leadership, client experience, innovation, teamwork and law firm success.

Hosted by broadcaster David ‘Fitz’ Fitzgerald, the event brought together solicitors, legal executives, support teams, sponsors and business leaders to celebrate the contribution the legal profession makes across Devon and Somerset.

DASLS President Pam Johns praised the support behind the awards and the achievements of those recognised, highlighting the strength and diversity of the region’s legal community, from large practices and specialist firms to legal aid providers and in-house legal teams.

The evening also showcased the continued evolution of the profession, with discussion around changing client expectations, technology and the future of legal services.

The three awards recognise Wollens’ continued commitment to innovation, people development and responsible business practices, as well as the talent and dedication of colleagues across the firm.
