Hebe Shepherd

I am a Solicitor in the Company & Commercial team at Wollens.

Originally from the Lake District, I relocated to Devon and joined the firm in 2022 after completing my LLB Law with Spanish. As part of my degree, I spent a year studying at the Universidad de Oviedo, developing both my legal knowledge and language skills.

I began my career with Wollens as a Paralegal in the Commercial Property team, before qualifying as a Solicitor following the completion of my Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws alongside my training contract. During this time, I gained experience across Commercial Property, Company & Commercial and Dispute Resolution.

I advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, share and asset transactions, shareholder and partnership agreements and general corporate governance.

I have developed a strong sector focus acting for CQC-regulated businesses, including those operating within the care and healthcare sectors. I have particular experience advising on the sale and purchase of regulated businesses, where transactions require careful navigation of both legal and regulatory considerations. In addition, I work closely with colleagues advising clients within the sports sector, supporting sports organisations and stakeholders on a range of commercial, transactional and governance matters.

I am known for my pragmatic and commercially focused approach, providing clear, straightforward advice to help clients achieve their objectives efficiently.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the coast, whether swimming, paddleboarding or walking. Having played rugby for many years, I remain a passionate follower of the sport and have recently turned my attention to golf.
