I qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and have had a varied legal career working in a City law firm, international consumer goods companies, and in the family departments of local law firms in Devon. Practising family law has been the highlight of my career so far. It is a privilege to support clients going through difficult times. I endeavour to bring not just the expected intellectual rigour to my work but also clarity and compassion.
I joined Wollens in 2025, specializing in financial matters relating to relationship breakdown, which can include advising on the division of business assets, pensions and property, helping clients to find non-court solutions wherever possible. Where court proceedings are required, I assist clients with financial disclosure, expert valuations and reports, settlement negotiations, and advocacy where appropriate.
My clients include separating married and unmarried couples, and those seeking to agree how their assets should be divided in the event of a future divorce or separation, as they contemplate marriage or cohabitation.
I also advise parents who are struggling to agree arrangements for their children after divorce or separation. This may be resolved through negotiation, or it may require court intervention. I try to take a therapeutic approach, focusing on the emotional well-being of my clients as well as the legal necessities, understanding that the ability to “move on” with one’s life and to co-parent often requires more than a Court order.
Outside work, I am a busy mum to two angelic boys and a devilish border terrier. We all love exploring the moors and the coasts of Devon.

Testimonials
My will was all done remotely by phone, notes, letters due to the distance involved – about 145 miles, general health and Covid restrictions. More recently I had a serious illness with loss of driving license and other lasting problems but I have been very lucky with the outcome. What seemed difficult was much easier with the help I was given. Excellent service. Solicitor Alex Jenkins and secretary Enya Garrett have been friendly, considerate, shown knowledge in an understanding way throughout preparing my will – and I have never met them. Wollens is highly recommended.
Craig and Shirley at Wollen’s have supported us throughout a particularly tricky matter, where usual routes of communication were not possible. The advice that we were given was always very clear and concise and we found Wollen’s very responsive to any queries or concerns. They were conscious of the weighty emotional element involved but very mindful of removing the emotion from decision making processes, which made it easier to see the bigger picture. I would certainly recommend to friends or colleagues requiring legal support.
From the initial request, price quote, discussion and follow up we couldn’t have wanted a better, more personal and quick approach to help us have a contract checked over. Marco was extremely helpful, personable and knowledgeable. He cut through all the lawyers jargon and made it all very easy to understand. We would wholeheartedly recommend Wollen’s and are looking forward to working with Marco as our sons career progresses in the future.
Trusted Wollens with the sale of my share of a business that I had started from scratch some 20 years ago so as you can imagine this was quite a sensitive journey for me. Have never done anything like this before so didn’t know quite what to expect, expectations and reality are quite different, but Wollens have your best interests at heart so you can’t rush a good job. The sale has now all gone through and I can move on with the next part of my life. I thank Wollens and both Emma’s very much for all their hard work.
Excellent service and efficient kept me up dated and made this very stress free for me would definitely use this service again.
Wollens have become the preferred legal team for myself and my companies, and Challenges Property Ltd.
