I was born in Inverness in Scotland where I grew up before moving south to study drama for 3 years and settling in the Southwest to have a family. Having worked for the Civil Service and the NHS, I then studied law as a mature student at Bristol University.
After graduation, I specialised in litigation for 12 years at a large law firm in Plymouth. After a short break I returned to law in 2013 and currently hold the position of Associate Solicitor specialising in Private Client law here at Wollens with my focus being on wills, estate & tax planning and lasting powers of attorney.
I strive to provide the best advice and in offering excellent client service. I take pride in building strong client relationships and the provision of approachable support during stressful times.
I regularly advise and assist clients with putting wills in place that ‘protect’ their estates for future generations or that are appropriate where clients are carers of children with additional needs or vulnerable adults as well as advising clients with higher wealth or business assets.
I enjoy delivering/presenting talks locally on issues arising from wills and lasting powers of attorney and am a strong advocate for the community in which I live and practice.
I remain an avid supporter of all aspects of theatre, although now in a spectator role and am delighted to currently be sitting on the Board of Trustees of ISTA which is an international charity supporting education and theatre across the globe.
Testimonials
Jessica’s advice and counsel were first rate and she certainly went the extra mile in expediting our wills so efficiently and professionally. We will have no hesitation in recommending both her and Wollens to colleagues, friends and family should they require legal services.
From start to finish it was a very professional service. Staff were knowledgeable in all aspects. Jessica was extremely helpful and thorough helping us to understand the complexities and wording regarding Will writing. All our questions were answered and explanations given.
Very happy with the advice and service provided by Jessica and the team at Wollens Torquay, with regards to the writing and filing of our wills. Happy to recommend them to others (have done so already !)
Jessica Wycliffe-Jones is my go to solicitor for myself and my step-father. Jessica provides an excellent service and it is always a pleasure to speak to her. I would highly recommend Jessica for drafting wills and a point of interest for administering inheritance tax issues.
With only one meeting Jessica Wycliffe-Jones was able to help me complete my will.
