Deborah Baker

I’m a partner in the Family Department and I specialise in a wide range of family legal work.

I’ve gained a lot of experience in family issues particularly in relation to financial claims on divorce between separating cohabitees. I’ve got a wide-ranging family caseload including a number of cases involving children, pre and post nuptial agreements and financial issues arising in a relationship or marriage breakdown.

I also deal with separating couples who are not married and the issues that arise around finances and children as the law is very different when compared to the breakdown of a marriage.

I’ve also got particular experience in farming divorces and marriage breakdowns involving family companies. I’m able to offer practical and commercially focused advice to farmers and company shareholders.

I’ve fostered strong links with other professional services including accountants and experts which allow me to provide a well-rounded service.

Outside of work I’m a member of Barnstaple Inner Wheel and in my spare time I also enjoy walking my dog on the local beaches, step aerobics, reading, watching Wales play rugby and Motor GP.
