I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Care and Capacity team at Wollens, based in our South Devon office.

I joined Wollens in May 2025 after completing my LLB in Scots and English law at Strathclyde University. I started as a Legal Assistant within the Care and Capacity team of the Private Client Department, quickly progressing to the role of Paralegal, and most recently starting my training to become a Solicitor.

As a Trainee Solicitor my work focuses on supporting the specialist lawyers in the Care and Capacity team and helping individuals and families navigate their way through sensitive and complex capacity issues. Capacity work is extremely rewarding and allows me to build strong relationships with clients. I also assist in setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney, an essential legal document in helping client’s plan for the future and ensure that their wishes and feelings are clearly expressed.

Outside of work I enjoy catching up with friends and family, long walks with my dog and searching for the best matcha in Torquay!

My will was all done remotely by phone, notes, letters due to the distance involved – about 145 miles, general health and Covid restrictions.
More recently I had a serious illness with loss of driving license and other lasting problems but I have been very lucky with the outcome. What seemed difficult was much easier with the help I was given. Excellent service.
