Emma Reed

Emma was great at the critical aspects of this complex transaction. The transaction involved finance, corporate and renewables aspects. Thanks very much to Emma and Dom for working hard to complete this complex transaction with a wide range of stakeholders. This will now contribute to the deployment of solar in the UK as part of our critical road to net zero.”

Scott Burrows – Commercial Client

I’m a commercial and commercial property solicitor and partner with 20 years of experience with clients large and small.

I’m experienced in dealing with all aspects of commercial law including business sales (asset and share sales and purchases), structures, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, bespoke contracts such as distribution and manufacturing agreements, joint venture agreements, business Terms & Conditions and settlement agreements.

I also deal with every aspect of commercial property law from site assembly, planning, development, acquisitions, disposals, option agreements, conditional contracts, joint venture build agreements, leases, SIPP/SSAS and commercial funding.

My passion is working with business with a value on renewables, ethical trade, repurposing, recycling and / or sustainability.

I pride myself on building long lasting relationships with my clients, understanding their history and aspirations helping me to support them with clear and sound commercial and strategic advice delivered with common sense.

Before joining Wollens, I completed my training contract with a large national firm, qualifying into their commercial property department in Manchester. Whilst there I was seconded to the Commonwealth Games Committee to finalise the commercial contracts to put on the games from advertising to suppliers to venues.

During this time, I married my husband James, who is from Devon, and made the move to the South West 17 years ago and started a family. The best decisions I ever made!

Since then, I worked for another large regional firm based in North Devon as a partner in their commercial department for South West and national clients.

I’ve also been appointed at the Legal Director onto the board of Devon Football Association.

When I’m not working, I spend my time with my family and enjoy most sports but particularly those involving water from surfing, boating on the river Dart, and swimming.

I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
