Our marine department has  a long-standing connection with both the international trading world in respect of dry shipping disputes and dry commercial work, alongside supporting many clients within the fishing industry   We can advise on the transfer of fishing vessels (and the associated licences) including all the registration formalities required and production of crew contracts of employment.

We can help you with the drafting of charterparties for commercial use, the sale and purchase of privately-owned yachts and motor vessels, the preparation of partnership agreements for joint ownership, amongst other things.

We can advise on the development of yacht harbours and marinas, draft shipbuilding contracts, oversee high value commodities and equipment sales and purchases and the prepare berthing leases and annual berthing licences. We are also adept at recovering unpaid berthing fees through our litigation department.

We can also act on behalf of vessel owners and skippers in mitigation of action brought by the MCA in respect of maritime legislation offences.
