Alicia Payne
I have worked within the childcare team at Wollens since 2020. Initially I worked with David Kendall and gained a huge amount of experience in relation to care proceedings generally. I have represented many parents within PLO meetings and still continue to do so. These are cases where the local authority are considering applying to Court for a care or supervision order where they believe the children are at risk of suffering significant harm. The PLO is essentially the pre-proceedings process where a plan is put in place in an attempt to avoid Court proceedings.
I am now completing my Training Contract within the care team, supporting Victoria Harle with her caseload of Non-accidental injury cases. These are complex cases involving allegations of physical abuse, such as fractures, bruising and shaken baby syndrome etc. We assist parents all over the country. The department has a wealth of expertise in this area under the supervision of Rachel Carter.
More information about the work that Rachel and Victoria do can be found on the Parents Accused Website www.parentsaccused.co.uk
Outside of work I am a keen karate athlete holding a 2nd Dan black belt. I have been training since I was 10 years old and have competed both nationally and internationally.
