Amelia Smith
I am a Trainee Solicitor within the Family Team dealing with a combination of private and public legal matters. For public legal matters I deal with care proceedings where Social Services are involved and there are allegations of non-accidental injury caused to a child by a parent. For private law legal matters, I support Rebecca Procter and Elizabeth Foster with matters such as divorce, finances and children.
I graduated from Plymouth University in 2018 with an upper second-class honours in Law, Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies. I then went on to study the Legal Practice Course alongside a Masters in law at the University of Law in Bristol from 2018-2019 and graduated with a Commendation.
After completing my Legal Practice Course, I worked at local law firms between June 2019 and July 2021. Then I moved to Wollens. Throughout this time, I worked as a family paralegal.
I commenced a Training Contract at Wollens in October 2022.
Outside of work, I enjoy going for a walk on the beach with my dog and spending time with family and friends.
