Emma Tyrer

I am a solicitor in the dispute resolution team. I have worked in property in the UK and Ireland before finally returning to Exeter to complete my training as a Solicitor, qualifying in August 2024. I have worked in both residential and commercial property law for a number of years and now specialise in property litigation. I work with clients to find solutions to a wide range of property-related matters including:

  • Service charge and leasehold disputes
  • Block management disputes
  • Advising on leasehold extensions, right to manage and collective enfranchisement
  • Landlord and tenant disputes (residential and commercial)
  • Advising on residential tenancies
  • Section 8 and Section 21 Notices
  • Land disputes (including boundary disputes, adverse possession and covenants)

I work closely with individual and corporate clients to fully understand the issue enabling me to offer tailored legal advice that navigates complex property disputes. I am committed to finding practical solutions whether through, negotiation, mediation or litigation and will endeavour to deliver the best possible outcomes for my clients. I take pride in my client-focused approach and ensure that I am accessible and responsive to their needs. I guide clients through their property dispute, providing clear and strategic advice to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.

Outside of work, I love most things sports related whether participating or supporting. I stay active through running, cycling and swimming. I also enjoy travelling and discovering new places at home and abroad.
