I qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 at a firm in North Devon and thereafter spent 6 years developing my legal practice in North London, and with that a specialism in Civil Litigation, Property, TOLATA, Homelessness and Landlord and Tenant work including private and social housing provider settings.
I was delighted to return to Devon and join Wollens in July 2019 as a Solicitor in the Litigation team, and provide assistance to clients in Devon, Cornwall and beyond.
Since joining Wollens, in addition to providing general civil dispute advice and assistance to include contractual disputes, I have focused my practice on providing specialist Property Litigation advice to companies and individuals alike, to include:
- Assisting with a broad range of Landlord and Tenant matters (Commercial and Residential),
- Land disputes,
- Neighbour disputes,
- Boundary disputes,
- Long Lease Disputes
- Property damage disputes.
In doing so I seek to utilise, where suitable, alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation and mediation with a primary aim to achieve my client’s objectives as time and cost-effectively as possible.
However where required, I also assist and represent clients with issuing or defending applications and/or claims via the Courts or the Tribunals and throughout my practice so far I have represented clients at all levels of the civil litigation procedure from initial instruction through to County Court trials, High Court appeals and second appeals in the Court of Appeal.
Outside of work I train in and am a keen weightlifter, competing nationally and internationally, although I can also often be found walking along and taking in the scenes of Devon’s beautiful coastal trails.
