Matt Damant

I am a Solicitor in the Private Client team, having joined Wollens in January 2022.

Born in Yorkshire, but raised in Cambridgeshire, I first moved to Devon to study at the University of Exeter in 2011. I read History before obtaining a second undergraduate degree in LLB (Hons) (Graduate) Law, graduating in 2016. I spent a year in London studying for the LPC at University of Law Moorgate, graduating with an LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management. Following this I trained with a top 100 UK firm based in Devon and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in January 2021. Here I worked for a year in Trusts and Estates as an NQ (Newly Qualified) Solicitor.

I currently work within Wollens Estate Administration Team and Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning Team, and so I can assist with a wide range of Private Client related matters. I work with clients both across and outside of Devon and am based at both Wollens Exeter and South Devon offices. I enjoy engaging with and supporting my clients through what can be very sensitive and emotional times, and am keen to develop my legal skills further as a solicitor.

Outside of Wollens, I enjoy attending gigs and concerts, cooking, getting into nature and keeping active.
