Partner Chris Linton has been named as one of four global finalists in the Trusted Advisor of the Year category at the STEP Private Client Awards for 2020. STEP is the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – the “Gold Standard” qualification for advisors in this specialism. There are over 20,000 members worldwide who were able to be shortlisted and each member has been able to vote for their chosen advisor.
Chris became a Wollens partner in October 2015 and is part of the firm’s Private Client department. He says he is ‘honoured’ to be shortlisted in the awards.
These prestigious awards highlight excellence not only amongst solicitors but also, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors. The Awards are open for both STEP members and non-members to enter and all categories are open internationally and assessed by an independent panel of expert judges.
The Awards judges assess entries and shortlist up to five nominees per category. They are supported by a Panel of Experts selected by the judges and represent internationally renowned solicitors, lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, barristers and trust companies.
The virtual Awards Ceremony takes place this week on Wednesday December 9th when the winners in each of the prestigious categories will be announced.
Wollens chief executive Chris Hart said: “Huge congratulations to Chris. These awards, which are national and international, are richly deserved and recognise inspirational work”.
It was just last month that Chris was one of two solicitors nationally who were Highly Commended by the Law Society’s judges in the Solicitor of the Year – Private Practice category at the Law Society Excellence Awards (The highest accolade for law firms in England and Wales).
We wish Chris every success in the forthcoming ceremony.
