A team of brave souls took part in Mission:Unbreakable at the weekend. The event supports North Devon Hospice and Wollens are delighted to be the headline sponsor for this event which is one of the biggest fund raising initiatives that the Hospice undertake. Mission:Unbreakable is a commando course filled with tough challenges and obstacles. Scale heights, take a leap of faith, and tackle mud, fire, water and ice to call yourself an ‘Unbreakable.’ It redefines the traditional ‘mud run’ obstacle course because it has been designed with 2 4 Commando Royal Engineer Regiment based at RMB Chivenor, who were there on the day, providing plenty of encouragement.

Alongside the Wollens sponsorship the team taking part also did some fund raising to add to the contributions. They were – Jon Dunkley, David Eastman, Hannah Venn-Munns, Tom Calder, Andrew Wood, Steve Waters, Kit Hounsell, Ellie Temple, Nadia Irwin, Ellie Pitocco and Jodie Neish.

The feedback from the team has been – ‘Tough but fun!’  One of the team said ‘The atmosphere on the course is amazing because everyone encourages each other along and of course there are commandos stationed around the route too – which really make it’.

Every who took part is proud to be involved, it is a personal challenge but also at Wollens we know how vital hospice care is to local people in North Devon and we want to help ensure that the hospice can care for everyone who needs them right now, which is a growing number every day.

Contributions are still welcome – every penny goes to North Devon Hospice.
