It now seems almost certain that the online portal for furlough grant applications will open on 20th April with the first payments being made on 30th April so make sure you (or your accountant) are ready with your figures.
There had also been an indication from HMRC (not quite an announcement) that holiday can be taken during the furlough period (the inference being that employers will be able to claim the 80% under the furlough scheme whilst employees are on holiday and that the three week minimum furlough period will not be interrupted by a holiday).
