Get Ready for Brexit.
That’s the message to businesses as quitting the EU looms large.
Firms of all sizes and in every sector could be facing significant change over the next weeks and months so being prepared is essential.
Enter Brexit Ready Exeter, a collaboration between the Exeter Chamber of Commerce and InExeter, who want to make sure businesses are not facing these changes alone and unsupported.
With funding from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, they are bringing together expert advisors to deliver practical advice and non-political guidance in a series of easily accessible, free events to help firms understand and adjust for the future.
Wollens’ employment law specialist Jon Dunkley will be one of the presenters at the training seminars which run from Monday October 28 to October 31.
Jon is a Partner and heads Wollens’ specialist Employment Department and is based at their Barnstaple office.
He advises on all aspects of employment law and is a member of the Employment Law Association.
He also advises on a wide range of regulatory issues affecting businesses including licensing, data protection, environmental law and contractual issues.
He will be joining other experts at free Brexit Readiness Training workshops in Exeter on Tuesday October 29.
A breakfast session is being held at Sandy Park between 8am and 11am. There will also be an evening session on the same day at Exeter College from 5.30pm to 8pm.
The talks and sessions will cover all aspects of Brexit with a focus on a no deal scenario and specific workshops concentrating on the central themes of Employment, Data, Funding, selling to the Public Sector, Intellectual Property and Import and Export.
A series of free Brexit Readiness training roadshows are also being held in Crediton, Honiton, Tiverton, Exmouth and Cullompton. Each session will be led by Chris Lorimer, South West Growth Service and export coach, and mentor Linda Middleton-Jones, managing director of International Trade Matters Ltd.
