Sophie Rew is a paralegal within the Family Team at Wollens. Sophie’s work is predominantly dealing with care proceedings, particularly where Social Services are involved or there are allegations of non-accidental injury by a parent. She works closely with Rachel Carter and Victoria Harle who are specialists in this area.

Sophie has been studying law at the University of Plymouth (in person and online due to Covid) and has recently graduated her Law LLB with a first class honours, with a particular interest in family law. Sophie worked for the Family Law Clinic in Plymouth before joining Wollens in the family department in March 2021, where she continued to study to complete her full time degree course alongside full time work.

Rebecca Procter, Head of Family Law at Wollens said

“We are delighted that Sophie has joined our growing Family team. She supports those working in the area of child care work, where families have had Social Services involvement and are in need of specialist legal advice and support.

She will be graduating on 24th September and we are thrilled for her. Her first class honours degree is a great achievement and a credit to her hard work. “
