Exeter Northcott welcomes more than 100,000 people through its doors each year and delivers creative opportunities to more than 16,000 people across the region. Having just taken over the management of the city-centre Barnfield Theatre, the Northcott plans to extend its work with local communities, artists and young people, offering more creative opportunities and career pathways.
“In the last year we’ve ramped up our community activity. We’ve been listening to what’s needed and offering creative opportunities that have real impact. With this support from our partners, Wollens, we can continue to deliver and grow this vital programme of work for people in Devon”.
Charlotte Hanson, Head of Projects & Participation at Exeter Northcott
The sponsorship will support initiatives such as the Northcott’s Pay It Forward campaign which gives theatre tickets to people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to go and the theatre’s Under 26 scheme with offers heavily subsidised tickets to local young people.
“As one of the largest firms of solicitors in the South West, Wollens has a long history of playing an active role in our colourful community. We’re delighted that our sponsorship of the Northcott will enable greater access to creative experiences and enrich the lives of local people”.
Chris Hart, Chief executive of Wollens
