Supporting the local community has always been an intrinsic part of the Wollens culture. Having been one of the first Corporate Rotary Members to join Newton Rotary club 6 years ago, the ties we have with the club grow stronger each year.
This year sees five of the firms associates join the club and all are keen to play their part serving others above self, which is the Rotary moto.
Catherine Pinnegar, Tori Harle, Steve Waters, Laura Sellick-Tague and Liz Crawford are all keen to play an active part in what is the regions most active Rotary Club.
Martin Smith –Membership lead for Rotary Newton Abbot commented “ The support of Wollens has been fantastic over the last few years , just recently responding to our appeal for support for a displaced Ukrainian family. When they joined back in February 2016 , corporate involvement in Rotary was in its infancy, we now have 23 local businesses supporting our work in Newton Abbot and beyond. The addition of five more young professionals to our club can only strengthen and invigorate our community work.
Clive Meredith, Wollens Practice Director went on to say “ Rotary is such an important part of the firm’s corporate and social responsibility. The club serves so many people and worthwhile causes it is important we play our part in supporting that. Our Associates share our passion for the communities we live in and they will be an asset to the club.”
