Wollens is delighted to secure a place in the prestigious Legal 500 directory 2023 edition. The Legal 500 is the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK. The rankings reflect the result of months of extensive analysis by the research team, who conduct thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers and read through tens of thousands of submissions in order to select the very best lawyers and law firms in the UK. As part of the research, the Legal 500 team canvassed the views of more than 40,000 clients. Every firm ranked – and lawyer mentioned – in the UK Legal 500 UK Solicitors guide is ‘recommended’. We are delighted that, on our first year of submitting applications, we have been successful in achieving recognition within the annual publication. This includes a ranking in the South West Corporate and Commercial practice area. Alongside this we received recognition in four further practice areas with a ‘Firms to watch’ acknowledgement in : Licensing, Private Client (personal tax and probate), Employment and Commercial Property.
The inclusion in the annual publication, which assesses the strengths of law firms across the UK and indeed the world, is indicative of the team’s hard work over the last 12 months, and the quality of the services provided to clients. Wollens are one of the largest independent law firms in the region, employing over 140 people with exceptional specialists across private client matters as well as company and commercial law. We have offices in South Devon, Exeter and North Devon. The business has grown rapidly in recent years with mergers and a substantial firm wide re-brand.
